The Quality Award was established to recognize exceptional performance and outstanding accomplishments by a Q-SITE Council in the attainment of long range goals and short-term objectives.

The seven criteria items that are currently being used for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award-(Education Criteria for Performance Excellence) will be the areas that need to be addressed by a Council upon the planning and implementation of a Q-SITE goal. The seven areas and total points assigned for each are:

Leadership (110)

Strategic Planning (80)

Student and Stakeholder Focus (80)

Information and Analysis (80)

Faculty and Staff Focus (100)

Educational and Support Process Management (100)

School Performance Results (450)

TOTAL POINTS: 1000

To qualify for a Quality Award, which is evaluated by members of the community versed in Quality concepts, a Council must receive a minimum of 50% of the total points in each of the seven areas.

Nominations will be accepted three times during the year. Deadlines will be October 15; January 15; and April 15.
